Neo Metrics recognized with the 2008 Young Entrepreneur National Award in its Innovation Category, at a ceremony presided by the Princes of Asturias

11/07/2008 – This award, granted by the Spanish Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs Associations, recognizes Neo Metrics’ record exemplifying an innovation-based business model.

Neo Metrics was chosen among 10 runner-ups – out of 50 initial candidates – by a jury composed by Enrique García Candelas, Santander Bank’s General Manager; several associates from the Garrigues law firm; Miguel Garrido de la Cierva, General Manager of Madrid’s Commerce Chamber; Patricio
Rodríguez-Carmona and Jorge Fuste, President and General Secretary of AJE, respectively; and Carlos Castillo, President of Alicante’s Young Entrepreneurs (Jovempa), among others.

José Luis Flórez, Neo Metrics’ CEO, pointed out that R&D + innovation is “one of the defining foundations” of the company and the award received encourages Neo Metrics to “keep on boosting this area”.

Neo Metrics is committed to innovation since its early days, currently allotting 15 percent of total revenue and human resources to this end, by means of an R&D + innovation center where scientists from a variety of disciplines – mathematicians, economists, engineers, and computer scientists – develop their careers in close cooperation with The University of Oviedo in the creation of last-generation business methodologies and applications.
